For some reason, I just can't get the hang of this razor. I've used it maybe half a dozen times, and even though the shave is super close, I get really bad irritation. I'm very conscious of pressure, so I've concluded that I still haven't found the right angle. I've watched a bunch of videos on this razor and I've tried really hard, but I'm now hesitant to use it again because I don't want to deal with an irritated face that takes 3 or 4 days to heal. I'm going to keep it, just because it's a really cool razor, and maybe I'll eventually pick it up again and try and get the angle right. But for now, it's going into storage.

After a week of using 2 unmentionables, I am back to SE goodness!
This week I am trying out different handles for the Hawk. I have the Version 3 stainless steel. I had a V1 a few years back and didn't care for the head size and promptly moved it to a new home. I had a Vector for 5 months, and while I loved it and the shave results, I couldn't get consistently comfy shaves from it. I tend towards mild razors, so with some sadness, I moved it on to a new home. Others on various forums rated the Hawk and the General as milder than the Vector, so with the funds from selling the Vector, I added both! and I am loving them.
The handles shown are Razorock Halos, the longer is the Ti at 100mm and the shorter by 10mm is the SS version.
The brushes are Timberwolf knots, both in handles made by friends on another forum.
And I am using Haslinger's Aloe Vera this week, with Mike's on alternate days, in an attempt to use it up and get my first empty tub this year!
Thanks for reading!
Eric

Take a look. These brushes were inspired by Graydog (an awesome brush maker). I glued up two blanks last week. I turned JR 423 first. Then, I divided the second blank into two and put some dark wood on the ends. They became JR 424 and 425.

GAW9576 and I were talking. He is a self cutter. Having watched a video of a man cutting his own hair plus several years of experience of shaving my neck with an E2 Schick, I decided that I could do it.
I ordered a cordless clipper with several guards and went slow. I am pleasently surprised.
Having gotten many terrible professional cuts ranging in prices up to $30 with a tip, I figured I couldn't do any worse....LOL!!
Here is the video I watched. His clippers look just like the ones I found.

Good day and thank you for allowing me to participate.
I use a collection of Schick Type E injector, a Golden 500, and several GEM razors that I amassed a few years back.
