Today I had my first shave with my Ever Ready 1912 made in England Razor. Wow!! Having never shaved with a vintage SE before, I really didn't know what to expect. I. am. hooked!!! This vintage SE world is awesome!!

So question fir the group. Do we want to bring over post counts from TOST or let everyone start new? It is a manual one at a time operation but is not really hard. What say the gang?

Am I wrong, or did post counts and other data carry over for some? I was forced to "register", so all that's gone for me. It's not a huge disappointment, because post counts aren't that important to me. Just curious what happened.
Anyways..I'm Matt from Athens, TX.

Not to sure about how much I will contribute,I loved Tost2 such a wealth of info. I am not good with photo apps so dropped out of posting. Also have gone a bit overboard on use of modern SE rather than Vintage, so posting SOTD with modern SE not appropriate for the site ?

I prefer sticks and pucks that you can just rub on your face now. That eliminates having to load your brush. I also prefer cold water shaves. I just wet my brush with cold water and use it to wet my face. If I can rub the soap directly on the face, that is preferred. That is what I do in this short video. It works great for me. The soap is Col. Conk Amber that I melted into an old deodorant dispenser. I am lathering with my Jayaruh #1 Silvertip Badger, the first of my hand-made brushes.
