Does anyone notice a difference between GEM, Treet, and PAL carbon blades?

  Certain Brushes
Posted by: Bryan_D - 11-27-2020, 11:11 PM - Forum: Shave Brushes - Replies (6)

Curious... Do you match a certain brush with a certain soap?  I have an Omega 620 that is feeling pretty good.  It has great backbone and works well with Modern Williams and other hard soaps.  I have a SOC brush that has seemed to have less backbone as it is very broken in.  My SOC doesn't seem to be doing as well as it once was on certain soaps.  I don't know, maybe I've had too much Turkey!  Wink

We are getting too much spam in. It is fun for the mod team to pull the pin on one, but I think we need to slow it down a bit. At least for the time being I am making it so one of the admin team will need to approve new members.

  Boar Brushes

While I may not be the huge brush collector, the vast majority of my collection are boars. I haven’t bought any new ones in a long time. But I’m thinking I’ll try the Semogue 1250 out. Cheap as chips. Love a good ol’ boar.

  Parker adjustable injector

Someone across the street was talking about this one. Kind of looks like a PAL adjustable to me. I have never shaved with one though. This one could be fun!

  Gillette Twinjector
Posted by: Jayaruh - 11-23-2020, 02:04 PM - Forum: Other vintage Injector Razors - Replies (5)

The Gillette Twinjector was made to take Gillette's Twin Injector Blade, but I prefer a regular injector blade. The Twin Blade tended to clog for me. Anyhow, today, I broke out my Twinjector and used a Personna blade in it. It was an excellent Menthol Monday shave.

Cold Water Rinse
Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap
Jayaruh #206 Two-band Badger
Gillette Twinjector
Personna Injector
CWR
Osage Rub

The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #206 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Twinjector razor with a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
