Yaqi Single Edge AC style - ischiapp - 11-26-2020

It's not a Blackland Vector.
Maybe it's Victor ...

The new Yaqi AC Style SE it's coming.
Two different razors:
RAMC2103 with brass handle

RASB2102 with aluminium handle

On 26th February should be available in a first batch.
Then in the next month as usual via Yaqi shop and dealers.
The price could be around £20 for brass one, and £15 for aluminium one.

Just a doubt about the handle shape.
Very thin, with just 10mm ...

RE: Yaqi Single Edge AC style - Wchnu - 02-21-2021

I used a AC razor similar to that before. Wider then an injector if I remember correctly. That is not really a issue though. I think the one I used was a Mongoose. It shaved fine. What I did not see was any real improvement over vintage injectors. That being said, I can understand where fans of new fangled thingies would like it. Just Fuzzy’s .02 worth

Yaqi Shaving AU: Raster V2 / Rapier / Excalibur - ischiapp - 04-18-2021

On the australian Yaqi dealer there're available the single parts.

The Excalibur head geometry is called V2.
This simply refers to the precision of the manufacture.
In fact, the initial problem has now been solved.

So V2 is not an evolution.
But an adjustment.

The complete razor is called Raster.
On other shop, as Yaqi AliExpress, is called Rapier.
Same model, different names.

Yaqi Raster Razor - mayer57619 - 05-08-2021

So I decided to purchase the Yaqi Raster razor which is a clone of the Blackland Vector in Aluminum and it arrived today.

Looks like good times coming!

On The Wet Shaving Co. (ex Yaqi Shaving AU), there's the pre-order of V3 version.
The Excalibur geometry of the new head will be a little different.
The Raster / Rapier razor will be with heavy handle.

Some infos from a Yaqi beta tester.
Ares56 http://www.ilrasoio.com/viewtopic.php?p=382570#p382570 Wrote:I am convinced that the picture on The Wet Shaving Co. site is the old head.
The new V3 is wider (16mm vs 13mm) and slightly higher than the previous one.
Has a different blade fixing system, to solve the alignment problems encountered in some examples of the first production.
In addition, the classic cylindrical threaded pin has been introduced where the handle is screwed in a recessed position.
Istead of the flat and central one in Blackland Vector style.

Aggression should be similar, with a significant gap.
But with a pronounced safety bar, to mitigate exposure.
The first prototypes of the V3 have the safety bar as smooth as the V2.
In the description on thewetshavingco.com it is "Closed Comb Cobbled YAQI SE Head".
I have no news about it, we have to wait for the first official photos.

Anyway the last specimens of the V2 shave well.
Blade (green line) and safety bar (black line) are parallel and aligned.
Just the topcap looks wierd, a little off the parallel red line.
