Last Shave with Kiss My Face
Posted by: Jayaruh - 07-04-2022, 05:49 PM - Forum: Shave Soaps & Creams - No Replies

I had my last shave today with the Kiss My Face Cool Mint Moisture Shave. It is a pleasant minty feel and smell. I can count 62 shaves since October 28, 2013. With few exceptions, I used it on Menthol Mondays where I cycled through six or so menthol shave creams/soaps. I will not be replacing it, since I have so many soaps I have to use.

RIP Kiss My Face

New Handle For A Schick Injector
Posted by: CDinVT - 07-01-2022, 07:08 PM - Forum: Razor Repair & Maintenance - Replies (13)

As I promised I am starting a thread on making a handle for a Schick injector. The razor arrived today and cleaned up nice I think it is a G1? I was able to cut the walnut up. Also I found some pieces of red cedar. I used the cracked handle for a template and dimensions . I came up with 2 roughed out handles both are 1/4 " longer that the original. I will drill the holes for the tang next, and true up the wood to the ferrule.

This combination seem to be a winning combination for me, Straight in with an ATG pass then some touch ups for a very close comfortable finish.

looking for info on blades for Schick injector razors
Posted by: CDinVT - 06-19-2022, 11:57 PM - Forum: Razor Blades - Replies (5)

I have been using yellow package Schick injector blades made in China aka "sChicks" in my vintage Schick injectors for a couple months I've been getting awesome shaves with them . I'm curious about the other brands. I know about Personna ,and supply .Is it true that supply plastic injector wont work with vintage Schick razors ? Is there any other manufacturers I'm missing out on . Thanks

Most aggressive of the Gems ?
Posted by: CDinVT - 06-15-2022, 06:49 PM - Forum: GEM - Replies (5)

I've been on the Hunt to get my next gem razor. I have a featherweight and a 1912 .I would like something on the more aggressive side . Would that be the Micromatic open comb?

Mild to Aggressive : Contour 2, Contour 1 , Push button ,G bar , Feather weight, MM Bullet tip, Gem JR, 1912, Damaskeene , MM CP ,Damaskeene OC, MM OC. Is this ordering correct ?

Hi, thank you for approving my membership. About 3 or 4 months ago I started collecting and shaving with vintage unmentionables after a bad new one .I was looking up info on my new to me 1961 one on and found a YouTube video from Shaving With Fuzzy. After that video, his SE shave's starting popping up as suggestions and tost3 channel ,and other members here YouTube channels . Well I figured I would give SE Razors a try and picked up 2 Schick injectors ( I2,E2 ) from my local antique store and ordered some blades I got awesome shaves with them .Well its snowballed into gem's, Eveready's ,and Valet's .I have looked here many times for times as a guest for info about razors ,I though it was time to sign up .

  My first Rubberset 400
Posted by: GAW9576 - 06-04-2022, 09:54 PM - Forum: Shave Brushes - Replies (7)

My first Rubberset brush. The first two pictures are the condition it was found at an antique store in. The rest are after cleaning up and putting a textured scratch pattern on it. It already had some pitting and a few dings so I chose this look instead of trying to polish it up. I installed a Zenith Boar knot taken from a spare brush I had. I really like my other three Zenith Boars so I figured this would be a great knot for this resto-mod.
