The seller said because I have bought so many razors from him, he would include a NOS set of blades that come in a tray all in the tube which is a good thing as I believe the tray is missing from the A Razor. Thanks Greg.

Did new blades come with a new tray? Was it essentially disposable? A cartridge razor?!!!
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Not sure your question or point. Your pic shows a looks like plastic holder for the blades. Mine clearly shows a brass one. Maybe they changed over the years? If you've ever held one of these razors , they are anything except disposable and I'll take any of these "Cartridge" razors I come across personally......

I swear I've never encountered a communication problem like this before. I meant the "tray", was the tray disposable and blades always came with a new one during the time those were manufactured. The tray in my image is metal, probably darkened (blued) brass. I was not calling your razor, or any razor, disposable. I was not being negative in any way. I had no "point" other that to seek knowledge on this particular item.

Sorry, as long as you've been around I figured you know more about these razors than me. These are all new to me at the moment. Wish I had an answer. I've never seen new blades for back then in any other form than these tubes.

I didn't realize the blades in a tube came in a tray. I would suppose it makes sense to simply insert a fresh tray of blades. That may explain why some razors are missing such an important part that is stored inside the handle. When the previous owner ran out of blades and new that the next pack of blades came with a new tray they may have tossed the old empty tray then never got around to getting more blades. Especially if they simply saw the new fangled Schick type D or whatever the new lighter weight model was at the time. Now we know that the NOS tubes of blades come with a tray. Pretty cool. So if anyone has a missing tray and really want one they just need to find an NOS tube of blades for a price they are willing to pay. I believe the trays would be identical between all the repeaters.

Something else interesting to note. The seller says it appears there is a dummy blade near the end of the stack perhaps to alert the person that he is near the end of the new blades. Will confirm when it arrives.

I think I remember hearing something about that. Like a time to pick up more blades kind of reminder. Interesting also that in the picture with the package of replacement blades it says not for use in injectors razors. I wonder how long they sold tubes of refills for the repeating razors after coming out twith the injector razors.

Like I said...

You didn't put blades in it, you replaced the cartridge, which came loaded, the old blades and tray were discarded.
