Is it because of the spring or the stops worn out?  If it is the stops. That is a relatively easy fix. I will try to fix if yoou want.
Stops, That's a nice gesture but I have to question your sanity and mine given it's worth and the cost of shipping. I have the same razor cased and in near mint condition

you can do it if you can solder. I fixed an 1887 Kampfe that way. it works fine.

Tom, as soon as you said that I figured a little solder and told the wife I may try it. It is missing the safety bar to flip over on it too......The eye rolls have started but I'm used to them

You do not need the bar. they don't do anything other than keep your skin slightly away from the blade face. Check out you other one.  the spring and stops do all of the holding.

I don't believe it is supposed to have a safety bar like that.

Study the 2 in my pic and compare and you'll see. Fix it you heathen! We do not discard vintage razors.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.
