So I'm an amateur roaster for about a year now. Anyone else roast there own? If not do you buy beans and grind them fresh or have a grinder to use when needed? Or do you just buy it ready for putting in your coffeemaker ?

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

I grind my own beans as I use an old Corning Percolator. I use a hand grinder set to really course. I usually get Mr. Peets Major Dickenson's. I get it from Costco.

I also use a hand burr grinder for all of my coffee, usually Caribou Dark roast or another Dark roast variety...the darker the better. I use an Aero Press at work and the weekends varies between it and a Bialetti Moka Express Espresso maker on the stovetop.

I ground my own for years (burr grinder) -- and I always preferred a medium to light roast....kona, columbian supremo. Prior to that, I spent a fair amount of time working in Europe, and really got hooked on espresso. And now, I'm all about Community coffee with chicory.
Now for the truly "true confessions" of my current coffee drinking habit....I'm more about the milk than the coffee. The first time I met Fuzzy ( Wchnu) was for coffee, it was a place that served Community coffee -- he ordered it black, and to his credit, he held his tongue when I ordered my Cafe au Lait (heavy on the au Lait). That said, I will drink it black at the fire station. Firefighters don't do milk, cream, Coffeemate or even sugar -- you drink it black or you go thirsty.
