Beautiful,... but just Micromatic will do, the Clog-Pruf and Flying Wing/Guiding-Eye have their own names.

Do you get a better shave using the injector blade, or is it just a thing?

I know some people just call it the Micromatic. However I'm on several forums and when I was first introduced to these razors the people that turned me on to them called it the Micromatic Open Comb or MMOC for short. They also referred to the others as the Micromatic Clog-Prof or MMCP for short and the Micromatic Bullet Tip or MMBT which was also referred to as the Micromatic Flying WING or MMFW for short. The names just stuck and I've been using them for several years now.
As far as the injector blades in any of the Micromatics goes I get excellent results. Are they any better than a Gem blade? I'd have to do a few side by side comparison shaves to figure that out. Today I didn't have a gem blade in the spot I keep the blades I'm currently using and I didn't feel like getting one from the drawer were I keep the new ones so I loaded the Injector blade. I keep a small box that unmentionable blades come in on top of my medicine cabinet with all my current use blades in it. Each one is put back in its wrapper and coated with a spray of rubbing alcohol and mineral oil. I'm going to switch to camellia oil when I run out of mineral oil. I like camellia oil better.

Pretty sure B&B is responsible for many of the labels we put on vintage razors, like "G- bar" and such, and those names have stuck pretty well. I just like to use the "real" names, like they used in the original advertising.

If my post sounded negative in any way it wasn't meant to.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

I'm with you on the MMOC. Just did a shave with mine the other day and had people questioning me calling it the MM. I'm gonna stick with what is widely known and accepted instead of carrying a soap box around with me and trying to change long standing terms  Big Grin
