I use paid ImgBB or Flickr to upoad pics and copy/paste the BBCodes here and elsewhere. I retain my images and can use it multiple times many places instead of overloading any forum or thread. Works well to take the cost myself than load the wonderful forum folks !

Your awesome. I have used third party pic sites like that before. I do not use them much here as I pay for the forum cost. That being said feel free to post as many pictures here as you wish.

I would assume more costs more but could be wrong

I think the issue is more not having a bunch of huge pictures posted around. Every forum I have been on had a limit to the pic size. I have never asked but I am guessing that it was for that reason. The reason we moved from ProBoards was the cost of picture storage. Here we do not have that problem.

Forums these days accept larger pix when you attach them, but they display them all at a standard size chosen by the administrator. The forum doesn't display a huge pic no matter how large a pic you attach.
If this place can't do that it's OK, we'll live.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

With mobile phone makers pushing first page ads every six months about the latest 48, 68 megapixel shooter their latest toy has in the market with increasing sizes of image, it's peace of mind to upload images to a paid online provider for peace of mind  backup all my data especially images to the cloud. Its better to use link to that single image online and reduce the digital clutter !

Why do pix need to be so big? I post pix all the time and just tell Postimage the size I want. Easy, peasy. If pix in a post are too big I just move on. I won't look at pix that more than fill the screen. I can't be alone in that.

Bit maybe I missed something?

Well when I post on other forums my sotd and have no problem and then post the same here and it says file size too big and you have to go back and redo it always just for here it gets old. My pix don't more than fill my screen. Maybe it's your settings. Apparently it's not an issue on all other forums.........but maybe I'm missing something......

You misunderstood. I don't give a rat's behind how big they are since I don't take them (I have nothing invested in your pictures). I was suggesting that if they're too large you'll lose audience. I gave you a solution that works on all forums.

Myself? I control the size of my pix so that if someone wants to see them they're there to be seen w/o any work on their part.
