Yup. A great MM shave today. MM with Ogalalla Bay Rum soap and AS. Does not get much better.

AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Dragonsbeard
Fragrance: Prada Luna Rossa Black

So pulling my Micromatic out and dusting it off. This was a gift that I'm ashamed to admit I forget where it came from but I think is may have been John DeepSea My file system works fine but the retrieval system has been getting rusty. Anywho I was pulling it out to join at least Danny @Hembree and Myles @myles wilson today. I had an amazing shave with it that had me chasing the baby hard and it was caught. The Humphrey's Maravilla 70 let me know for sure I over reached in a few spots but no blood was spilled and I'm eel like slippery smooth for my efforts. This scent is one of if not my GOAT. I don't have the EDP but it pairs VERY well with the Prada Luna Rossa Black. I hit the EDP HARD and I am definitely "That Guy" today. Hey, everyone I come into contact with today......as DangerousDon would say, "YOU'RE WELCOME" !!!! Have a stupid Fun Day Everyone !!!

How well does a Micromatic shave? I would like to know. Compared to a 1912?

It holds the blade well and at the right angle delivers an amazing shave as will a 1912. I like it for it's being heavier as I like some weight to my razors. How it will shave or compare for you can only be determined by you. They can be picked up so cheap it's worth a try in my opinion.

Razor is a razor. As long as it is not defective and the blade is sharp they all shave a lot alike. The thing about a Micro Matic Is you have to  pay attention to technique. If you get sloppy and let your guard down it will bite. Usually pretty hard. That being said they are wonderful razors. As was pointed out they are cheap and easy to come by. I have more then one here. I would be very happy to loan you one to try out.

It is a rabbit hole though. Once to fire up the MM then you must try the Clog Pruf and Flying wing/Guiding eye.

Yeah, unfortunately my budget has run out. But I am sure that soon I will get myself a Micromatic.
