Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,086
Prepping for hopefully camping in a couple days. I hope it comes thru and they don't cut the water off due to freezing concerns. I was hoping for my annual Camp Shave Video..........This soap is only adequate but the scent is KILLER good. Stirling Texas on Fire is a better quality soap and closest to this on scent. If it had the WCS scent it would be the ultimate for me. The A Repeater performed well but the Proline Injectors are rubbish to me. I LOVE their AC style blades but the Chinese Schick Injectors are much sharper and better than these tuggy things on my whiskers. Caught my 85 year old stepdad trying to pull his water heater that died yesterday and so today in between work I will go get a new one installed for him. Have a great day everyone !
Good luck on the camping shave. That's funny the proli e VS. Cschick blades aren't the best for me. They aren't bad just not as good for my hair and skin combo.

Wow...technology at it's finest. I had to save your image to my computer to fully read. I guess if nothing else this shows who is still determined to communicate despite the roadblocks placed in front of us!
So, Dave in KY GAW9576, though I've been given a life sentence from the Warden...my curiousity with injector blades and Schick injector Razors has been piqued for a little while now. In the relative near future I will place an order with Connaught Shaving in England for 100 PTFE blades which are selling for $19.32 at current exchange rate. Their minimum order for free shipping is 60 GBP, so I plan on ordering one 20 blade pack of Personna SS PTFE injector blades (looks like a white plastic body with metal injector key/slide). Are these generally acceptable blades? GAW9576's photos of using an injector blade in a Micromatic is something I would like to try and if I had blades I'd think I could find a well priced Schick Injector Razor at an antique store and pick it up for cash and know one would be the wiser!
In today's SotD, Dave in KY used Schick Proline blades. Are these the B-20 blades? I don't yet understand the different sizes of injector blades. I have awareness that the AC blades are a different size, correct? I know some of injector blades that can be used in Schick razors don't have a injector key, but can be hand loaded. Assuming Schick Proline B-20s can be used, are there other modern injector blades without an injector key that can be used? Is there certain language I should look for or a certain size?
Thanks in advance for helping educate me on this and so many other things. I've got Jayaruh's website in a tab open to a Schick histrory tab that I need to read more thoroughly to try to get a basic understanding of the different Types!

I use a Schick Type E to shave my neck, ears, and nostrils. And like my good friend, I use mirrors.

The Proline B 20s are the ones we were referring to. I don't specifically know of any other Injector blades available without the key. Although I'm sure there are for medical and scientific purposes. And some people do use scientific blades for shaving. I haven't tried any. The Schick E and G are the ones I've seen in antique stores most. The G being the one I see most. Many of the Gs I see have cracked handles but are very affordable. I would be willing to work with you on making a custom handle for it.
I have some of the Personna blades from Connaught and like them better than Chinese Schicks.

I have some of the Personna blades from Connaught and like them better than Chinese Schicks. The B refers to an injector blade. Any number associated with it is how many are in the pack. The P Prolines like P20 or P30 designates an AC style blade and number is how many in the package.
