I was looking for a deal on one for Sarge. Ebay is a wonderful thing, but some are listed for $100 and some $5...LOL!!
Look no further Twelvefret, I believe a G-bar is en route as a bonus gift with my recent purchase. Peoples kindness in this day and age is amazing and I couldn't be more grateful.
And yes, I was intently watching a G-bar on Ebay that is up to $5.50. You are correct, some folks selling on Ebay don't know what they have and sell BIN at low price and then there are the folks that don't know what they got and want to try and sell it for way too much. I always enjoy seeing pictures of three piece unmentionables with an upside down bottom plate!

Pre - Shower
Brush - Simpson Duke 3 Best
Soap - OSP Sandalwood
Razor - Schick Band Razor
Blade - Blade #1 (1)
Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm - Barts Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm & Lotion
A/S - OSP Sandalwood
1st use of the NOS Schick band razor, i had never seen one of these before and took a punt, what could possibly go wrong, i mean they were made for a good few years before their demise. I usually take other peoples reviews with a "pinch of salt" as we all know everyone is different and i do like to try things out for myself.
Therefore:-
A nice shower to soften the stubble and a great face lather just enjoying the scent and feel of the brush on the face, i had a really nice creamy, slick covering in no time. This razor unlike the Techmatic is not adjustable, what you see is what you get. I started off using the flat to the face angle and found quickly i had to drop the handle until i could feel the blade cutting, and it did just that, again similar to the Techmatic its feels smooth rather than sharp if that makes any sense, you can feel it cutting although its not an uncomfortable shave, and to be honest it seemed to smooth out even more as i dialled it in.
I completed a full 3 pass shave and at no time did i think i was going to get bitten or snagged, a very comfortable shave.
A nice dollop of Barts Balm and lotion finishing with a rub of the OSP splash, i did get a tiny bit of indication but nothing much.
So there you have it, a very comfortable DFS++ shave from a very mild and capable razor (for me).
Again, like the Techmatic i think it would struggle on a stronger beard. I also need to improve my angle technique over and under my chin.
Oh! one thing i have found out, The Schick cart fits the Gillette razor, but the Gillette cart does not fit the Schick, very sneaky on the part of Schick and maybe part of the reason why Gillette shelved their band razor as the Schick blade is reputedly longer lasting.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All

Williams Wednesday!
Cold Water Shave
Pre: Neutrogena Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream As Pre Shave
Razor: A Dark Looker, Longer Than Sibling, Options Abound
Blade: лезвие бритвы с тефлоновым покрытием
Brush: Omega 49 Pro Boar
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Post: Osma Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Classic (Modern) After Shave, Nivea Sensitive Balm
An easy going, two pass shave...with one eye and both ears on Preston vs. Liverpool. Getting better with Williams. For second pass I've found it helps to whip up the lather a bit more in the bowl before application.

Having problems with replying to you GAW9576. Trying to post this way.
Per the discussion we were having yesterday along with TobyC, I tried to focus more on my grip today. I'm not sure I learned and/or improved anything. The balance point for this razor is so high, really head heavy. I am right handed and never shave with my left. Do you always shave with your dominant hand? The reason I ask is that I sometimes struggle to shave on the left side of the face where I back hand the XTG pass. I am know I'm jacking up the blade angle at times.

Razor: Schick Type A Repeater
Blade: Schick Proline
Brush: Rubberset 400/Cashmere
Soap: WCS Campfire
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Speick
Fragrance: John Varvatos Dark Rebel
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,086
Prepping for hopefully camping in a couple days. I hope it comes thru and they don't cut the water off due to freezing concerns. I was hoping for my annual Camp Shave Video..........This soap is only adequate but the scent is KILLER good. Stirling Texas on Fire is a better quality soap and closest to this on scent. If it had the WCS scent it would be the ultimate for me. The A Repeater performed well but the Proline Injectors are rubbish to me. I LOVE their AC style blades but the Chinese Schick Injectors are much sharper and better than these tuggy things on my whiskers. Caught my 85 year old stepdad trying to pull his water heater that died yesterday and so today in between work I will go get a new one installed for him. Have a great day everyone !

Nice shave, Dave in KY! That Type A Repeater and the Rubberset really make a nice looking duo...almost like they were made for each other! BTW...I could see this post just fine on the forum!

Thursday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Eufros Sandalo Shave Soap
Jayaruh #41 2-band Badger
Unmentionable
Unmentionable Blade
CWR
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
The Eufros Sandalo Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #41 2-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Unmentionable Razor with an Unmentionable blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
