Where?
#1
For me, quality carbon SE blades have been getting harder to find over the past 5 years so when I can find them I usually order a year's supply. The last time I found some I was only able to get about a 6 month supply which I wrapped up quite a while ago. I have been using Pellas ever since but am now running out of those. I could obtain more Pellas but I would prefer carbon. I'm not having any luck finding any. Has anyone seen any?
Thanks,
Alan

Hello Alan! I have found Treet carbon blades at a local supermarket in metro Atlanta. Eden Fresh Market is a one off experiment of Wayfield Foods and is a kind of wanna be like Whole Foods/Fresh Market. I had just happened to take a photo of the blades a while back when I stumbled across them, when I was first thinking about SE shaving. I know Wchnu on his videos talks about buying Treet blades locally. Recently I also found Williams Mug Shaving Soap at a Ingles supermarket. Perhaps checking local small/unique supermarkets/pharmacies in your area would be worth a try?

I've bought from this seller before. They stock the Blue Carbon, but after them all, I settled on the PRFE. All Single Edge Razor Blades - TryABlade.com

Twelvefret made me remember that I've seen Gem Blue Star for sale at Phoenix Shaving Gem PAL Blue at Razor Emporium. I've not purchased from either of these sellers.

Wow. now that's something I haven't seen in a while, Treet blades hanging on a display in a store! Not only that but the paper box 5 pack which is my preference. Unfortunately there are no more small stores or supermarkets that still sell them out here. Many thanks, I'll see if Wayfield has an on-line store.

Yes, much thanks Twelvefret, I've bought from him also. I have an account at Pella and could purchase a bulk amount of these but am trying to hold out for Treet 5 packs or Blue Star 5 packs. Hopefully I'm not chasing pie-in-the-sky.

You can see why they don't have them out in the open much anymore, twerps and druggies steal them from the packaging. Just because you don't see them displayed doesn't mean they don't have them, some places keep them behind the counter.

I just ordered these.

.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Good point. I had to ask at a CVS which was near my wife's work. ( she actually picked them up for me. I called ahead and they told me they kept them behind the counter) when I first started shaving with SEs. After I figured out how much I liked SEs I bought in bulk online.

Also you could check with local stores, if a chain store carries them at some locations but not others sometimes they will order them in for you. Sometimes just because we can't see something doesn't mean it's not available.

If you don't mind me asking Alan, why do you prefer the 5 pack over the 10 pack? Does it have to do with the cardboard blade protection?

I need to buy up some here and spread the love. Maybe I can talk to the guy at the store and see how much a box of them cost. Not a huge fan of group buys but I think we could spread the love so to say.
Happy shaves to ya!
