  Schick Repeating Razor Type A
Posted by: Flintstone - 05-28-2020, 03:25 AM - Forum: Schick Injectors - Replies (31)

The good Colonel Schick got it right with the very first Magazine Repeating Razor, this beauty shaves extremely well, and to me is the perfect balance of comfort and efficiency.  I also think it looks VERY cool.  There will be more pics over time, but here is a past SOTD

  Yet another razor
Posted by: twhite - 05-27-2020, 12:52 AM - Forum: Other SE brands. - Replies (21)

This razor has been 4 years in the making.

It all started a few months after I created the Bunny. It was making the rounds and I was gathering all the input. I then tried to incorporate the main things people were looking for in an Injector. What I came up with was this. The most compact head design as possible. What it ended up as was this. Mind you it is not an Injector, as you have to load the blade by hand.

This has sat around ever since. I came to the conclusion that what I had designed was a disposable razor design. Taking in all of the feedback and just working from there. It naturally morphed into this. The one thing that I never really liked was how it held the blade. I was relying on friction. I put it away and moved on. Then several months ago I got the design big big time. I went on a tear and did 3 unmentionable razors. Anyhow with all of the feedback a member across the street suggested using magnets as springs. Very cool idea I think. Anyhow while I was looking through my files. I came across this again.  It dawned on me that I could use smaller magnets to secure the cap and blade. I also realized that it would be a perfect printable razor. So here you have it. I need to get the magnets still. Everything fits dandy. [Image: 43579523-35-CE-458-C-8025-782-A3360-D77-D.jpg]

Never seen before.
What is the "Warning Level" of a user?

Sorry I've not found a section where to talk about this new place.
If/When available, please move the thread.

  Hello from Italy

Hi All
my name is Pierpaolo and I live in a little island called Ischia, in South Italy.
So my nick is easy. Wink
I'm into wetshaving in the last three decades, since 1988 with my grandpa DE Gillette 1958 Rocket Flare Tip ... as in my list, but only in the last couple of years ... at first in italian forum ilRasoio and then in others ... I've tried all the different kind of razors.
My first love are the soaps and frags, but now I enjoy and collect a little of all.
Last love are the single edge , these old safety razors ... specially the "lather catcher" ... are so sweet and deep that I've searched more info and now I'm here.
And very happy to be part of this good group ... as of TOST2.

I don't see many Lather Catchers come up here in Oz so when this came up I had to have it. I would love to have the tin these came in and a pity the bottom of the handle is missing but overall in pretty good condition.

  Schick Repeating Razor Type B
Posted by: Droo78 - 05-20-2020, 02:05 PM - Forum: Schick Injectors - Replies (16)

Here is my Schick Repeating Razor Type B. The photo is an older SOTD pic and I love how the razor shines.

I find it an easy razor to shave with, as it has a forgiving "sweet spot" with regards to the shaving angle.

  Schick G4
Posted by: Jayaruh - 05-20-2020, 02:28 AM - Forum: Schick Injectors - Replies (5)

I am using my Schick G4 (thanks Fuzzy) this week. I've been getting some great shaves. The brush is JR#408. It is made from plywood. It was experimental. It is working out great with the two-band badger.

Here is Menthol Monday's Shave.
