  Rub It On The Face
Posted by: Jayaruh - 05-18-2020, 11:29 PM - Forum: Shave Soaps & Creams - Replies (5)

I have been just rubbing my shave pucks straight onto my face and then building the lather. This has been working great for me. I am over half way through my Tabac puck so it has a big hole in the middle. It has almost gone all the way through. So, I decided to take charge and try to flatten out the puck so I can just rub it on my face.

*
I would load my brush for about 20 to 30 seconds and then face lather. See how dished out the puck was?

I popped it out of the container and began pushing over the edges to flatten it out.

So, here it is after I went all the way around breaking over the edge.

Now it is ready to just rub on my face before building the lather thus skipping the need to load the brush.

Here I am building  a lather with Mitchell's Wool Fat after I just rubbed it on my face. I have decided from now on, I will be just rubbing my soap puck/cake straight on my face before lathering.

  Face-lathering with Mitchell's Wool Fat
Posted by: Jayaruh - 05-17-2020, 08:46 PM - Forum: Shave Soaps & Creams - Replies (9)

I just made this gif of me face-lathering with Mitchell's Wool Fat. I just wet my face, rubbed on some MFW, and began lathering with Tom's B-400 two-band badger brush. I captured this clip from this shave: https://youtu.be/RXS3T5xVXis

I'm not sure if we are continuing the monthly haul threads here in TOST3 just like in TOST2, but here it goes...

I finally bought a Schick Type L that arrived today. Looking forward to shaving with it!

  Gnarliest Lather Catcher
Posted by: twhite - 05-11-2020, 02:11 AM - Forum: Catch of the day - Replies (42)

I saw this Lather catcher on the bay. I had to have it. It is the nastiest razor I have seen. Wish me luck on cleaning it up. Hope I didn’t waste $20.
