This was my first time with a Micromatic Double edge blade. It made for a great shave. Just as smooth as a current production blade. 

I’ll start things off with a nice lot of GEMs, an Ever-Ready, and a possibly broken Schick. I had been looking for a MMOC and G-Bar. The others were more or less a bonus. The Shovehead is pretty nifty, even though the handle is way too short. The spring on the Schick must be bent because the lower plate is loose. I’m not sure if I can bend it back but I’m going to try. I had a very nice shave with the G-Bar. It’s comfortable and the angle is intuitive. November is here, and I have designated it as 3D Printed Razor Month. I will be using all of my printed razors this month. I have 14, so most will get used at least twice. Here we go.

The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fuzzy Catcher 3D Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Well I finished off the Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70 that I transferred to my barber bottle. Gus (Glazedboker) got me hooked on this a few years ago....
   
Time to fill with my last bottle of this juice that has been discontinued for a year. I will miss it when this is gone and will have to hunt another favorite Witch Hazel type product......
   

Today was my first use of the MARS (Modular Adjustable Razor System).  I have all 10 insert plates and opted for using insert 6 based on the very limited (as of now) reviews of the razor.  My prep consists of just a hot shower and then face lathering the soap selected.

The MARS performed very well.  The handle is comfortable in the hand and has texture to provide a good grip, even when wet.  My typical 2 pass, WTG & XTG, provided for excellent results.  The razor is fairly light and with the #6 insert, efficient.  I did have one weeper, but that was the blade catching on a small scar on my chin which happens with most razors.  All-in-all a very enjoyable shave with a well thought out and designed razor.  I will be using it for the next few shaves to see if the blade/insert combination is able to be improved upon.

I really like my new 3D printed razor, the Darwin-Stoll Jr. by Roger Quintero. Today I made a box for it. It is Box 56.

Every time I pick up this bottle the cap is loose, either it's a weird cap or some spook likes wearing aftershave. Has anyone else noticed this with Proraso?

We've had to do it far too often and it never gets any easier. But it's what we thought was best for her. She was having problems walking and had to be in pain but she never cried out. She was the longest lived dog we've ever had. She had a good life and brought joy into ours for 13 years.
