Also snagged a 16oz bottle of their Shower Gel and it definitely works. They threw in a half sample of Sharp Dressed Man 2? Love that scent.

They have a great reputation, but I have never tried their products. I typically have fewer than ten soaps on hand and have my own ideas on which makers I support.

That changes with each shave! All six of my soaps are tallow based, so they all produce rich, creamy lather. It comes down to scents then. Spearhead's classic Seaforh scents are great. I really like Long Rifle Brown Bess.- pipe smoke and leather. Soaps that I don't look forward to using are quickly tossed or used in the shower. Currently I support these six makers with my miniscule trade:
Shannons Soaps Spearhead Shaving Chiseled Face Long Rifle Noble Otter Zingari Man . Sundays I use an English cream by Truefitt and Hill. Kind of a nod to my Anglo-Saxon heritage.

My friend gifted me a bunch of different Stirling soaps. They have a huge selection and seem like pretty good quality and scent. From what I've seen on there site the prices are pretty good too.

I just shaved first time today with a Coconut Lime Stirling and it was quite good. It lathered very well and stayed moist with no drying. The scent is a nice lime like key limes and the coconut softened it up to a gentle overall scent. I was quite pleased.
That said, I have a container of their Peach which I picked up because it smelled wonderfully like peaches. I tend to have reactive skin and hadn’t noticed the included menthol which was so strong I couldn’t finish my first pass because it burned like heck. Should call it Peach Prickles! For me, unusable. So one for two for me on Stirling. I have a Creamy Coconut I will try out soon and see which way the bar swings.
