I see no need for the pivot and tend to have issues with people that feel you need it to get a good shave. That being said it did a good job with a Feather SE blade. I really have no complaints about it.
Try it with the carbon Feather, I dare you! I double dog dare you!!!
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Shave is OK, but feels terrible, hence the dare. Remember; "a blade's a blade".

The saying is a blade is a blade when not defective. The carbon Feathers are garbage for shaving. They work ok in the Valet utility knife/cigar cutter though.
Happy shaves to ya!

I found myself in possession of one of these by way of a PIF giveaway and have only shaved with it three times thus far but have been impressed by how easy it is to get a comfortable shave. You'd have to do something pretty unusual to cut yourself with this razor although I'm sure there are some overachievers out there that have found a way.
I wasn't sure I would like this razor for a variety of reasons, the most egregious being the short-lived and expensive blades. I have used the same blade for all three shaves and it seems to be holding up. I do have a goatee so I'm not shaving part of my face each time so that tends to give me an extra shave or two for any kind of blade.
Something I've read is that the different OneBlade razors shave differently, with the Core being the mildest. I just bought the Hybrid from that auction site for a very fair price to see for myself if it's true. I think the metal head is at least going to have a different feel, even if it isn't more efficient. I guess I'll find out next week. I'll post a new thread to discuss it but until then, here's what it looks like.

Interesting timing here. I used mine this morning. I use it like a regular razor not as a pivot. Ended up with a good shave!!
Happy shaves to ya!
