Razor: G.E. Jones Shake Sharp
Blade: Wizamets Double Stacked (5)
Brush: Brush of Shame #1
Soap: Pereira Shavery's Baron's Choice
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Proraso Green Splash
Fragrance: Paco Rabanne 1 Million EDP
So I had this new soap to try. It was a gift from ExtraProtein and a favorite of his Grandfathers in another Country.(Can't tell you where so as not to blow his 007 cover and put my family in danger ) It's made in the Country of Portugal and Googling it for info I found it's available thru WCS. It's a small low budget, thin wall plastic tub and has a nice bright and slightly floral scent to it. I'm not big on florals but this is VERY nice to me but I can't put my finger nose on what it smells like. As far as lather it was so easy to lather and get the soap where you want it. Very cushy and slick enough to get things done. Afterwards it left my face feeling refreshed and neither dry or oily............just invigorating. Doing some research shows this to be from a company that has soap with charcoal but that is NOT present in this iteration. The Shake Sharp gave me a shave for the ages with this soap and I can't stop faceturbating and feeling my face. I assume this fits the criteria here as even though you load an unmentonable blade it is a Single Edge Shaver. To make up for the thinner current production blades I as many do double stack 2 blades and no other modification is done. You close the top cap and slide to the side to lock it and are ready to go. One of my favorite vintage razors that gives a remarkable shave. I do not use the Shake Sharp feature to maintain the blade. Thanks again Rob for a soap that while not a luxury presentation, gives the results we are all looking for and then some. I'm impressed and this stays in the den. Have a great day Everyone !
This is a legit SE. We had some discussion on TOS2. As there is only one edge exposed it was deemed acceptable.

That's a fine SE razor, I have one somewhere, but not used in a while. I will have to dig it out! That soap sounds interesting as well.

Not only that!
The G. E. Jones was made by "Shavety First Corp."
Get it? Look again! Get it?
It was... drum-roll...

What was the rule for the blades used in them and ShaDE razors. I know it was discussed and a determination was made.

Razor: G.E. Jones Shake Sharp
Blade: Wizamet (6)
Brush: Klenzo/CHEAP Boar
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Nivea Deep
Fragrance: John Varvatos Dark Rebel
So today is Fat Friday and after a great shave my face feels wonderful. I was surprised that a 30 second load with this small 20mm Boar on first use had 3 passes of great and slick lather. The boar literally sat in a drawer for 9 years before I set it the other day in this handle. I like the feel of the handle. I should have done it sooner. We'll see if the boar breaks it and gets rid of the scritchiness and stops shedding (only 3 hairs this morning) If not I will set another knot in it. This knot was from China way back when and a VERY cheap one ($3 if memory is correct) so I'm not expecting much from it. EARLY start for me longing for a short and quick day. Have a GREAT day everyone !!
