First shave. Overall Very nice middle of the road aggression. I did 3 passes and only rinsed the razor between each pass. So the lather catcher does it’s part to a tee. I ended up with a DFS shave. I think with a few tweaks this is a Go.
I want to decrease the overhang of the tab on the spring. So it is a bit easier to load the blade. The tension is really good. I might try to beautify it some. As my designs are on the simplistic side. Function first and foremost, aesthetics secondary. I don’t have much of an eye for that.
Anyhow. I think I will print a few as designed to send out for evaluation. Once I design a handle.
Nice job Tom. Only issue I see over time I would think is the blade tension part getting loose possibly causing it to loose pressure holding the blade. I guess it's a fine line in ease of loading an strong enough to last with pressure. Great creation.

The tension is very strong considering. The blade stops will fail before the spring I would think
My thoughts are as it is only plastic. It would fall under a semi-disposable product. Never intended to last for decades.

Starting a build with 6 parts.
Now just wait for the hardware store to open. then I will get some brass screws and some dowel pin stock. I will make some rudimentary wood handles for them.
Few minutes into print.

I do see several things I need to change. The elliptical cutout is too large. As I see it cracked through one of the teeth. I will change that to a regular hole. If you are wondering, that detail is there to allow access to the screw I planned on installing. A wood type screw with very course threads to bite into the plastic handle when it gets made. Or wood handle.
The others will be more cosmetic as to not have it look so utilitarian. I like simple, but realize others prefer more bling.
Is it possible to put small pieces of metal into a print operation mid print for wear surfaces.
For instance print to 60% insert metal elements then finish printing to have an embedded metal element?
