I've been a happy user of Personna Gem PTFE coated blades.
I hear that Carbon blades are smoother.
Like to hear about brands you folks use, number of shaves and online vendors where I can get them for bargain prices
Thank you for all your inputs!

I much, much prefer carbon steel blades over the SS blades. I've used all of the carbon steel blades made by ASR, used to be able to get the GEM Blue Star blades locally from a mom an pop drug store but it closed. I've been getting them from either Connaught Shaving, eBay or Amazon and the store brand from CVS. I used to believe the Treet blades were a little better than the Blue Stars but that may have been my imagination, and they're a lot harder to find online so I've settled on the Blue Stars as my go to.

I find the carbon vs stainless steel debate will be ongoing.
The PAL blue star blades are some of the best Carbon ones that I have ever used, but now, since sources dried up, I just use stainless steel and move on with my life.
If I have time to dry them properly, then I'll keep the carbon steel around, but other than that, I just rock what I can find and don't pay much attention to it.

As said before, some feel they are "harsh" on the first shave.
But this is one time where I truly feel that your mileage may vary.
I don't find them harsh at all.
