SOTD - November 2020
29/11/20
[Image: 1481487299622.jpg]
Pre: Shower
Brush: Simpson Duke 3
Soap: Vitos Extra super
Razor: Focus R48
Blade: 0.5 Med Prep (3)
Post shave: Cold water splash, TC's Infused Witch Hazel
Balm: Barts Balm Lime Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: Hugo Boss Bottled Night
[Image: Wk-49-2-Sun.jpg]
I mixed up a nice "loose" slick lather today as i found the R48 struggles (for me) with a heavy lather.
I completed 3 normal passes and some touch up on the chin and the devils whirlpools, i find this razor is very mild but it works, the angle/technique is totally different from anything else i use. I like the design and the quirkiness.
3 comfortable shaves from a half blade? how long can this Med Prep go on?
A lovely post shave finishing with the Hugo Boss leaving me clean, fresh and very comfortable.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

Thank you very much, I always enjoy shaving with it.
If i had to, I believe i could survive with 2 vintage razors, This B1 and a beautiful boxed MicroMatic i have.
Both wonderful shavers. However, thats not what we do on TOST, we need a lot more than that. Wink .

Thankfully we don't have to pick just 2 razors. If I did have to pick the Gem Junior Bar would have to be one of them. I would have to do excessive research and testing to pick the other.

Had an excellent shave this morning with the Gem Junior Parade with a 5th flip Gem SS PTFE. And nearly finished off this tub of Mer Shavings Fougere Orange soap. Love that soap, luckily I have another tub.

I enjoyed this weeks vintage shave so much i decided to repeat it, well it is a repeater.
2 Passes for a DFS result, during the shave the blade had gone off so did not try any buffing, i did not want to chance a nick.
A nice post shave with the Barts Lime and 4711, for me a very nice combination.
Good news yesterday as the mothership was released from hospital beating the Covid, she is back in her own home with a more robust care package in place. She seems well, even though she is still sore from the fractured ribs.
What a fighter.[Image: Bravo.gif]

Also a bit better news on my sister who has also got through this horrible virus, she also has a fractured rib and the docs have put it down to the coughing fits, she said she feels well although getting tired/breathless easily.
All in all good news.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All

Wow Tony...sorry to hear of the family dealing with the virus...But glad to hear they are on the mend. My prayers for speedy and complete recoveries. Man...I know about those fractured ribs from couching...no fun and can take so long to heal. Seems the intercoastal muscle and soft tissue there takes longer to heal than the bone itself...Prayers sent.
