Well, I don't have any NOS Christy blades, so I am stuck with the Personna injector blade….. clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Yeah I didn’t use a Christy blade either.
See it  here...

Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Proraso White Shave Soap
Jayaruh #4 High Mountain Badger
C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher
Heljestrand Wedge

Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Duru Cologne

The Proraso White Shave Soap was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #4 High Mountain Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand  Lather Catcher and the C.V. Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SEptember 2025 Lather Catcher Sunday #3

Had an enjoyable Sunday Lather Catcher shave. I don’t have a Heljestrand safety razor (I know! Right? Smile) but I couldn’t use yesterdays razor. I chose a very early GEM, one of the first really. I loaded it with the Heljestrand wedge I sharpened up for the last lather catcher. A bit of stropping and it was pretty good. So, I am indeed shaving with a Heljestrand after all! A bit tuggier than I would like, but sometimes I need just settle for an ok shave with these wonderful beasts. Sharpening is sometimes more mystery than art.

I went with a Copper Hat custom badger brush and a Copper Hat Bay Rum puck for suds. Enjoyable shave.

Lather Catcher Sunday - this has stuck with me for maybe 6 or 7 years now because of Tost. I think it will stick around.

SEptember continues!

I do like the G-Bar. Coupled with a simple boar and some William Marvy soap it was a great shave. The mechanics of this razor make it a much better shaver for me than the earlier micromatics - although there are strong similarities. I can’t quite pinpoint the effective improvements but they are there.

I must admit I’m a little jealous of your Tabac Tuesday. I have never yet had opportunity to pick up the Tabac shave soap but always wanted to take the time to find some. Then people started saying they didn’t like the new formulation recipe some time ago already. Jayaruh, if you have tried them both do you find the newer Tabac much different? I am thinking of ordering some finally, but am uncertain if it is still the same stuff. How would you describe Tabac? Sorry to bug you with that. Thanks!
