Williams Wednesday's Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shaving Soap
SlimGem 3D Printed Synthetic
Schick "66" G4
Personna Injector
CWR
Lustray Spice After Shave

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the SlimGem 3D Printed Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick "66" G4 with a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Williams Wednesday SOTD
  • Shower & Shave
  • Williams Mug shave soap (modern)
  • Razorock brand Zenith boar bristle brush
  • Schick Adjustable
  • Personna blade (1)
  • Alum + Dickinson's witch hazel with rose water and hyaluronic acid

Excellent 2 pass shave with touch ups, it took some . Using a single edge after a pretty long time as most of my stash was packed up in between moving it all to a new house.

Schick Adjustable
Fine Classic Fresh Vetiver Soap
Simpson's 2 Best Badger "The Duke"
Personna blade (2)
Dickinson's Witch Hazel with Rose water

The adjustable is a fine razor for fine tunig the shave comfort. The new blade was a bit too harsh hence turned it down to setting # 3 from #5 in beween the shave.

It is getting in to the higher degrees here in India as it peaks in to the summer. Vetiver (Indian word "Khus") and Rose (Indian word "Gulab") are very common cooling fragrances for their cooling effect both externally and internally. Many herbal sherbet recipes for the past several centuries include vetiver and rose for their cooling ability to beat the heat, when ice was not a thing.

Some benefits of Vetiver drink.

Not a major problem, something to do with a the way a condenser boiler works, the action causes the water to be acidic which then starts the deterioration of the condensing chamber which forms a deposit not too different from limescale which had blocked one of the run off pipes, an easy fix.
The blade has been retired after 4 full shaves, it could have gone on, however, it did feel a little prickly on a couple of strokes.
It is always a pleasure to whip up a Signature soaps Lather, today was simply wonderful.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1254

So I will say the problem I have with Yaqi razor development is they do it while they sell them and tweak until they get it where they want. Take yesterdays shave with the Excalibur now called Raster V3. Not sure which I have on loan from Eric @BetterEveryShave I noticed that the blade would twist while tightening and give uneven blade exposure. I upon closer looking found the pins/posts that hold the top cap and base together have too loose a tolerance and it can be wiggled easily once assembled so you have to watch that it is aligned to start and also doesn't move while shaving. I got a good shave with it but it's no Vector. Mind you at the price difference you don't expect that but I would cough up the difference for the Vector myself and just my opinion. The Katana is another bird as it uses a half an Unmentionable instead of an artist club blade. I had a VERY enjoyable shave with it and between the 2, this would be my choice. Great smooth and drama free shave. Thanks again Eric for the loan to try these. I may get another shave with the Hawk and then send them back. I don't need time with the OC as I'm pretty confident I would get a similar shave but don't need an OC as I'm a daily shaver. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip and a Banana Nut Muffin with Costa Rican Coffee for me this morning. Have an enjoyable day all !!
