New watch project
#11
This is as far as you tear down a Timex for cleaning and oiling. You use synthetic lubricants and little spatulas to apply oil. Alot of people me included have tried just spraying oil on a movement. Can do that it will immediately stop you must be precise and different gears use different oil weights. I only use two on my Timex a standard duty syntalube and a light synescape for the escape wheel. Had to take some crown and hand gears off a junk movement. The minute hand gear had teeth rusted off and the crown gear had teeth worn away.

Face attached to calibrate the midnight date change before attaching hands and then the tool to press the hands on. Then the finished product. I still need to polish the crystal.

Thanks I thought it deserved to be fixed and enjoyed. It's a 1975 french Timex basically.
