The modern blade with adapter shaved quite well in this beautiful old razor. It was a tight fit though. The vintage Williams soap lathered quickly and abundantly with the Zenith boar brush. Aqua Velva finished off this fantastic shave.
What a great looking setup Greg !

Sadly my shave was a fail today. Still got a socially acceptable shave but there was an issue. I accidentally stropped my kampfe blade at the wrong angle. During the shave I thought man this blade is dulling out. But I forgot to reset the angle on my edge pro and stropped at too high of an angle. I restropped twice as much as the proper angle so hopefully that fixes the issue. The blade was still sharp enough to shave more or less and push cut paper. If not I'll try rehoning just using high grits to reset the edge. Anyway the shave was barbasol pacific rush followed by witch hazel spray and then Tommy Bahama cologne. No irritation just very tuggy and a small blood drop. But compared to what I'm used to it was rough.

Thank you. I really like the razor, it's beautiful and the shave was fantastic but I'm going to have to make a better handle for it.

This has a couple of benefits, one being that I only have to decide what to shave with once a month. Secondly I no longer have to keep track of how many shaves are on a blade. The first of the month a new blade goes in & at the end of the month the blade goes in the trash.
February is my birth month so I wanted to go with something a little specials.
With all that being said here is my setup for the month of February.
Brush: Kent, Pure Silvertip Badger
Soap: Tabac
Razor: Superior Safety Razor
Blade: Pal Super
After Shave Treatment: Alum Block
Aftershave: Avon Tai Winds
Beautiful razor. And that's a cool Avon bottle. They had some really interesting designs for there bottles.
One blade each month, do you shave every day?
I shave about twice a week. That's why my blades last a month

Saturday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Cella Shave Soap
Semogue 1305 Boar
Provision Supply V2
Personna Injector
CWR
Cella ASB
The Cella Shave Soap lathered well with the Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Provision Supply V2 Razor with plate three and a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

We seemed to have got away with the brunt of the storm yesterday, our area has been very lucky compared to some.
Luckily, the weather was not too bad today and we managed to get the chimney swept, a Wire balloon fitted on the chimney stack making ready for the new fire to be fitted Monday.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.
