In the mail yesterday
Back in the early part of the year, Dave in KY lent me 4 GEMs and his Blackland Sabre. I had just started using an injector, and was curious about which GEM to try. Dave being Dave lent me a handful! Now at the end of the year, I think I have purchased my own copies of all the ones he lent me. In fact, I gifted me the Damaskeene I shaved with this past Sunday!

The GEMs are for the fun of it, just to see how these blades feel compared to the PTFE stainless. The AC blades are for a razor I am waiting to arrive. Figured I'd best be prepared for when it gets here and since I've never tried an AC razor before, I got one of each blade from TryABlade.com.

New wet shaver. Currently using mentionables in my happy place.
Thanks to @ "Dave in Ky" I now have a snazzy glass bottle for my Clubman. It was easy to find a top for it and it was filled veddy soon after arriving!!
Happy shaves to ya!

The Oro Valley caught my eye. I lived a little while in Tucson and Oro Valley is just North of there. My boss lived there actually. I spent more then a few good nights up there watching the wildlife run through the back yard as it was getting dark. Now I will have to go look up the scent and see what it is like.
Happy shaves to ya!

I've been looking online lately to see if I can find some good glass bottles for a reasonable price. My grandpa used to have tons of the car shaped Avon bottles. I wish I would have gotten a few after he passed. I probably wouldn't buy the car ones to use but would like to have had a few of his.

I picked up two glass bottles with stoppers at an antique store today to decant some aftershaves into. I think these will be for Aqua Velva Ice Blue which I have been enjoying and for Aqua Velva Musk that I just ordered.
I need to find a few more. One for the Veg. One for another Clubman and one for Lucky Tiger witch were both ordered today.

I would really like to get some vintage Aqua Velva glass bottles for both as well as a vintage glass Pinaud Lilac Vegetal bottle and a few others. But for now I really like the looks of these. It's to bad the manufacturers don't sell new nice glass bottles and have the plastic ones to refill them with. I saw a few vintage Aftershave bottles at the antique store but not the ones I was looking for. And not for a price I was willing to spend.
