Happy Thursday to all and to all a good day...LOL! Big Grin

I'm pretty sure this brush has ruined me for other brushes. It's just so darned soft and luxurious.

I have been shaving but with unmentionables so I don't remember to post here!

I bought mine a while back when they were introduced for $12, I think. They are still only $19. My best brush for feel and making wonderful lather.  Smile

Lather Catcher Sunday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
Proraso Sandalwood
Jayaruh 414 Silvertip
Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Granddad's Blend AS

The Proraso Sandalwood lathered well with the Jayaruh 414 Silvertip Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Only thing I shim is windows or doors and such. Big Grin Cool  It ranks right up there with flipping blades and bowl lathering with cold water. More a shot twhite as he has heard all the rants.....

Ahh. I get it now. The shim is actually on top to hold the blade from moving around. The razor was designed for blades with a thicker spine that also didn't have the notches on the sides. So the new blades rattle around if the shim isn't used in the razors current condition. It would be unusable without it or tweaking the tabs inside risking breaking it. I wanted to shave with it at least a few times before thinking about risking breaking it.

aaaaannnnnnnnddddddd....................

the debut of the Semogue 830!

Much has been written about the 830, and I think the best parts are true! This is the second of two brushes bought new for DecemBoar, the other being the Galahad that I used yesterday. Both were pretreated by me at the same time, with daily soaks (5-10 minutes) followed by hand lathering for another 5-10 minutes. Both are 22mm knots, per the website info from Maggards. But this one is softer, more broken in feeling. It has a ways to go yet, but I think this is a winner. Held lather for a good 3 passes but was getting stingy on the 3rd pass and I had to coerce it a little!

Awesome shave and photo. I love the clear handled brushes with red in the cup. And I was undecided on razor choice till I saw your shave Pic. I will go with a Dammy today. Only I think I will go with the OC.

I just hope the explanation and reasoning is enough to get me back into Wchnu's good graces.  Angel Big Grin

Don't worry it's no longer an Unmentionable.
Here's the photo evidence.
