Can We Discuss Shaving
#1
Since discovering shaving forums, I’ve learned so much. I honestly used to shave in the shower with a Sally’s and grocery blades.

What have you discovered as a result of the social aspect of a need to shave?

Happy weekend all!

Since discovering wet shaving I've actually enjoyed sharing. I used to despise it when I was using disposable head unmentionables. It has turned from a hated chore to a greatly enjoyed hobby. I've also really enjoyed the interaction with the people I've met through shaving forums.

Very well said. Despised is the word I choose when mentioning throwaway plastic unmentionables.  I never made friends using them either as who would want to discuss all the terrible shaves they were getting? This way of shaving also opened my eyes to wonderful new soaps , brushes , aftershaves and all the enjoyable things that go with it .

OH yeah the soaps and brushes with a nice warm lather are a wonderful thing.

I just like old razors and brushes.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

I also will add that learning the skill set is awesome. I can use just about anything that has a sharp enough edge. Having that knowledge is great to me. I have also made friends all around the world who share similar interest.
Happy shaves to ya!

Yes there is that learning to shave with anything Fuzzy. Good point!

To the point of using a SEvette effectively. Maybe some don't know what a SEvette is? It's a SE razor minus the comb. Basically a bare blade on a "hoe
handle. They give a great shave, close! And it's all technique.
