Williams Wednesday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Soap
Jayaruh #414 Silvertip Badger
GEM Damaskeene
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Lustray Spice After Shave

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #414 Silvertip Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Damaskeene with a Personna GEM SS PTFE gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks, yeah I  love it! Really a very simple handle but turned from a piece of oak pulled from a peat bog where it was naturally preserved and stained for hundreds of years. My picture doesn't really do it justice.

Williams Wednesday!
Cold Water Shave
Pre: Neutrogena Soap Face Wash
Razor: Gem Damaskeene
Blade: Gem SS PFTE (7)
Brush: Omega 10049 Pro Boar
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Post: Osma Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva, Nivea Sensitive Cooling Balm

Is it sacrilegious to put a puck of Williams in a Proraso shaving mug?

After the failings of the previous Williams Wednesday, last night I did a test lather to see if I could dial it in better. Sorry Jayaruh, but I abandoned the rub it on technique. I first aggressively loaded the brush off the puck from the Proraso mug and then lathered it up in a Timeless Razor bowl. I added a good amount of water, a wee bit at a time, and beat it to within an inch of its life. This created a real thick lather that didn't dissipate when I painted it on my face.

So today I followed the same procedure, loading a bit less soap, and ended up with an adequate lather that was not as thick as yesterday. When I lathered up my face, it was a bit too airy. However, I found that if I just kept at it by painting and painting and painting...the bubbles cleared and the lather thickened up. I know Wchnu would not approve of all this fussiness with Williams, but I find a thick, hydrated lather to be best for me as a noob.

In the end a 2.5 pass shave was successful and I've redeemed myself with the Williams! I feel more comfortable with the Damaskeene with each passing shave.

An Enders Speed with a modern injector blade is a wonderful thing.

Well we've run out of days in SEptember before I ran out of SE Razors so no duplicates this month. Will use some more but will be interspersing some other razors in the mix as well. Have a great day everyone !
