The second shaves on these Feather FHS blades are ever so smooth compared to the initial ones.
I'm anxious to see how many uses I can get out of one.  I'm not a huge Stirling fan but wanted to get in some Holiday scents, so first one is Frankincense & Myrrh.  What a BANGER !!  Reminds me of my days as an Altar Boy loading up the Incense burner.  LOL

Valet AutoStrop VC4 (Un-Modified)
Feather FHS-10 Blade (2X)
Stirling Frankincense & Myrrh Shave Soap
AP ShaveCo SilkSmoke Knot Brush
Taconic Urban Woods Splash
L T Piver Heliotrope Blanc Locion
Do some modify that razor?  As for those blades I rarely get 3 shaves from them.

You can modify the razor - use a Dremel tool and zip off the blade nubs - then it will take a GEM blade.  It can be a bit fiddly to get the blade seated and locked but then it will shave.  I usually have one modified and one un-modified of each type VC2 and VC4.  VC1 is easier - you just modify the GEM blade a bit and it slides right in.

Friday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
b-pure Shave Soap
Frank Shaving Badger
Razorock Black Hawk
Feather Professional
CWR
Hendrick's Witch Hazel
Florida Water

The b-pure Shave Soap lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Razorock Black Hawk razor and a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Can you believe I woke up Thanksgiving day with a tummy ache?   Went back to bed and didn't shave yesterday.    I was better by dinner time, just didn't stuff myself.

I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving and are safe and well.

Very Nice & Close shave with a first use PAL Carbon Steel blade.  Sample of Sharp Dressed Man 2 came with an order I received from Stirling a few Days ago.  I don't know what the "2" designates and I never had the original SDM but this soap was very, very nicely scented.
