Having some fun tonight. I saw this somewhere a while ago and just got a chance to try it now. Twin Injector blades in a Gem Micromatic Open Comb. Not something I would do all the time but it was fun trying it. The injector blades ride at a different angle than a Gem blade because the back sits on top of the oval shaped part that fits in a Gem blades oval hole in the middle. The blade is held very securely through.

Razor: Autostrop A1
Blade: Despined Gem SS PTFE (1)
Brush: Brush of Shame #1 Timberwolf
Soap: T&S Sicily 1508.5
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: T&S Sicily
Fragrance: Mr. Burberry

Well a cold snap has been running thru these parts like most. Showing 27 degrees this morning and heading to the 50's but a warming trend is starting again. I got in a sought after A Style Autostrop. These were before they became Valet Autostrops and instead of the lever mechanism to lock the blade, there is a push button. I had been wanting one since learning of their difference and finally got this cased example for the princely sum of $12. I must say the shave was OUTSTANDING with the despined Gem SS Coated blade. I have to agree with Fuzzy Wchnu that it's my favorite Autostrop. Now I need an A2.............It shaved so much smoother and closer than my "C" Models and I'm stoked to have 1 now. The 1508.5 continues and it will be close as to whether it is finished this month or edging into May. I need to consider which the next victim of 2021 will be to 1508.5. Long day today and tomorrow off to run my outlaw father (FIL) to the VA in Lexington. Have a great day Y'all !!

Razor: Gillette Raised Flat Bottom SE
Blade: Astra SP (?)
Brush: Klenzo Boar
Soap: Los Jabones de Joserra Brihuega
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Skin Bracer
Fragrance: BVLGARI Man in Black Essence

So I'm pretty sure Mike HighSpeed sent me this sample and must be multilingual. A little googling found it and this is what is said about this tallow soaps scent:

"Lavender flower nuanced with aromatic notes of rosemary and thyme, the citrus freshness of lemon and bergamot and a background of fragrant tobacco, sweet vanilla and spicy tonka bean."

I have no nose for breaking down scent notes but get the bright fresh citrus but toned down nicely so the don't over power it which must be the other stuff. I enjoyed the scent and so did the wife. The soap base is no doubt a good one but I don't feel adequate to get into that since I was using a bowl to try and load it to the brush to face lather and never can get what I would if loading from a tub/cake of soap. I did get a nice protective and slick enough lather and see this as a very nice soap but at $35 for a tub, it's a pass for me. I do greatly appreciate Mike giving me a chance to give it a try and say "Been there, done that" Big Grin The Gillette RFB Halved............I really need to come up with what to call this thing. Any who, it did a great job as always but almost didn't. 1st few strokes wtg clearing the right cheek felt.............interesting. hen I rinsed it, I checked it out and the half de blade had shifted while changing to the Karve handle. Now what does Fuzzy always say ? I should have checked everything out to ensure it wasn't wonky. Straightened the blade alignment and the shave was gratifying and left me smooth faced for the day. Hitting the road to Lexington today @9. Have a Stupid Fun Day today Everyone !
