I stropped my sharpened blade using the rolls mechanism instead of the edge pro. It didnt seem to have an impact on the shave. That's good I was worried with my sharpening it might round the edge off. But I used Williams like any sensible person on a Wednesday. Of course it lathered nicely with a cremo horse hair brush and textured Turkish bowl. Paa fresco old spice fresh clone aftershave. I had three bleeders all on the upper lip sealed themselves no issue but no irritation and bbs. Still sorting my rolls technique. Good shave and the rolls mechanism not damaging my edge is good news it's easier than stropping on the edge pro. Plus it means if I sharpen a rolls blade for someone else they can maintain it.

Enjoying reading the Rolls usage. It's getting me motivated to get my Rolls stone and strop rejuvenated to use the good blade I have and get a shave........................hopefully soon...

A very nice shave today, it went a lot more smoothly than yesterdays maiden voyage.
I do like a looser lather when using these unmentionable SE's and the Signature soaps do let you hydrate them to just the right consistency for me.

Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Thursday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap
Jayaruh #424 Synthetic
Ever-Ready 1924
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Lustray Spice After Shave

In January of 2017, I got I think five samples from Jeeves of Hudson Street (Conservatory, Cranberry Pomegranate, Velvet Jacket, Turkish Bath, and Private Study). I ended up pressing them into an old deodorant container. Jeeves has since then gone out of business, but my Jeeves Shave Stick is going strong. It is a good soap. Here is today's shave. It is my 44th shave with Jeeves.

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready 1924 Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Star of the show was the shave soap made in the UK which was new to me. I saw it was called Dave and the scent seemed to be in my wheelhouse so.....I would call it a Croap as it's soft but not to the point of a cream. It loads easy and takes water well and took to a nice sour cream consistency. The scent is nice and fresh and described by the maker (I agree) below:

The inspiration behind ‘DAVE’ comes from our founder’s father David, a great source of inspiration at Løthur. This was a man who was seldom found without a cup of the ‘good stuff’ in hand (English breakfast tea) and was rarely seen out of his sacred space, the back garden. David grew giant lilies, creeping jasmine, tall sweet peas and vibrant iris flowers.

DAVE opens with light, citrusy and fruity top notes, reminiscent of Darjeeling tea. It has a soft jasmine accord at its heart and is perfectly rooted with notes of assam and powdery iris root.

Have a Stupid Fun Day Folks !!

I have to say i have really enjoyed the little Injector blade trial, it really seemed to make a kitten of this SE rather than the fighting tiger it usually is.
I will say ensure the blade is not sticking out at the toe as this will scratch and ensure it is nice and straight in the head.
I completed my 2 pass routine of WTG and then a mixed pass, after a rinse and check i completed a touch-up/buffing pass leaving me clean, smooth and comfortable. No indication from the splash and skin feeling soft and supple.
Spot on that!
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.
