The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Semogue 1305 Boar. Two passes and touch ups with the Wabbit V3 razor with a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Simply wonderful.
I had a lovely shave today with the lather catcher which left me smiling from ear to ear. The blade needs a little bit prep before using by taking off the sharp corners as they can scratch if the blade is not exactly centred. A quick rub on some emery tape does the job for me Wink .
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

GEM Damaskeene 1912 razor
GEM stainless steel blade
White Star Barber Shop soap
Everready 200t with 2 band badger knot
Aqua Velva Ice Sport aftershave

My first use of the White Star soap from Pete Hendrix.  It is a soap created for the target market of people like me...who enjoy Williams and others like them but also enjoy artisan soaps as well.  I usually devote my Wednesday shave to Williams but today I just had to use the White Star since it arrive in the mail yesterday.

Right out of the shipping bag I noticed the simple package, great smell, and the added note with ingredients and the company information.  The soap is on the soft side which made it easily packed into my vintage jelly jar.  The smell, to me, is a nice clean fresh scent.

I did my normal brush soaking and shower then proceeded to load, similar to how I usually load my Stirling soap.  I proceeded to face lather and found it to build very quickly with an extreme amount of slickness and cusgion.  My GEM glided across my face like it was on ice no matter what part I was shaving.  Lathered up for a second pass with the same slickness and cushion produced.  Amazing second pass across the grain with zero irritation.  I only do 2 passes, but I had enough lather in the brush for at least a 3rd maybe a 4th.

The soap really provided great face softening qualities after the shave was completed.  The smell lingered while I splashed on some withch hazel and aloe.

Even though this was my first use of this soap...I highly recommend it as an affordable and quality product.  Very happy with the feel during and after the shave as well as the scent.
