So I believe it was Pete (Patriot) that sent me some different blades. I tend to use the same ones without trying new ones but I'm trying to make a conscious effort to try some that have been gifted and laying around. These are made in the UK and are Platinum Chrome Sputtered.....................go ahead and google it, I had to. It involves ions.......My determination is that Ions are a good thing when using Platinum Chrome. Nice smooth and sharp blade. Time will tell on longevity of blade life. Thanks Pete and hope you're well. Think he got a girlfriend and hasn't come up for air yet....
The Amouge was a sample sent to me by my buddy Gus (Glazedboker) and is a nice one for sure. Forgot I had this and 2 other samples he sent. Thanks Gus ! Here's the scent description:
The Amouage Journey Eau De Parfum Spray is an alluringly smooth fragrance for the man who is sparkling with tradition and modernity. The woody and very masculine fragrance was introduced by the design house Amouage in the year 2014. The fragrance starts its journey with spicy notes from Cardamom and Sichuan Pepper. At the heart lie the sweet notes of Juniper Berries and Incense combined with hot notes from Tobacco. The base is resplendent with deep fragrances from Tonka Beans, Leather and Musk for a fragrance that is distinct and magnetic.
So reason for the soap/splash choice was we're heading to poke around Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains today and spend the night in Townsend, TN before coming home tomorrow morning as we have friends coming for a T-Bone Steak dinner on the porch. 2 years ago her father passed away and we wanted to be with them to celebrate what a great guy he was. If not raining after dinner we'll have S'mores and talk by a bonfire. Have a great day folks !!
" sparkling with tradition and modernity " who writes this stuff? I'm not Sparkling with anything, especially not modernity. The rest of the scent description sounds good though. Agreed, I don't talk like that, it's just copy and paste buddy LOL

I knew it was copied and pasted. I wouldn't have said anything if I thought that was your word choice.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem 3D Razor with a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That's banter with an unfriendly tone,... I may scream and stomp my feet.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

No that was banter with a very friendly tone and about an unknown 3rd party. I knew it wasn't Dave that wrote the part about sparkling. That's apparently what some vampires do in newer movies that I've never seen. (the sparkling that is)

I can't describe scents well and always fall back to the companies descriptions. I will say my Sunshine Man by Amouage is BEAST mode. 2 spritzes. Any more will clear a room .........ALL day. This was more muted.
