Happy Micromatic Monday!!! I chose the Flying Wing -- with patented "Guiding Eye" technology (thank goodness it's there, or how would I know how to use the razor?!?!?) -- the soap was Arko (it is Arko August) and the brush was my trusty Yaqi Familia Sagrada.

Are you sure the "guiding eye" was patented?
I can't remember coming across a patent for that.

Hmmm, good point....and I think you're right -- no patent. I just found a few Gem advertisements, and they do boast about their "guiding eye", but they are careful not to say "patented". I could've sworn I saw that in some ad copy, but it must have been my imagination. I'm sure the Gem lawyers would've caught that and scrapped it as an "untrue claim".

My first thoughts were:
- I have never seen a patent for that
- Could you receive a patent for a dot on a razor?

Tabac Tuesday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Tabac Shave Soap
Jayaruh #1 silvertip
Micromatic OC
Personna GEM SS PTFE
CWR
Tabac ASB
The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 silvertip brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Micromatic OC razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
