Williams Mug Shave Soap Williams Wednesday shave.
After long, a very satisfying Williams Wednesday shave with my Gem Junior G3 set.

I didn't "take off" just used a new PTFE Gem blade.

Larry from Whipped Dog dot com makes some amazing badger and boar knot brushes. This is my 24mm boar in a small premium teal handle. Amazingly soft and great for making the humble Williams mug soap in to a lather factory !

Happy shaves !

Williams Wednesday Shave !!!
Wednesday June 2, 2021
Razor: Penn Adjustable
Blade: Schick Proline Injector (1)
Brush: Vintage Burma Shave Boar
Soap: Vintage Williams
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Vintage Williams Aqua Velva
Fragrance: n/a
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 938

Great shave with the Penn Adjustable today. I took a Original blade and ground off a few millimetres of the edge so it could be used to hold the Injector blade. Need to watch that it doesn't twist as it is just a pin that holds it. I had no issues with the 1st shave but will be mindful of it's precarious perch. Typical nice smooth injector shave with plenty of blade feel using it wide open. Great Williams lather and ready for the day. Have a good one Everyone !

Greetings gents, long time no see. I hope you all have been doing well.

For reasons unknown, I have been taking a hiatus from my SE razors lately. But... today's Williams Wednesday shave provided a perfect chance to jump back into the saddle.

Williams Wednesday Shave

Razor: Gillette Techmatic
Blade: Band (Setting 1)
Brush: Stirling Synthetic
Soap: Williams Vintage Stick
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Vintage Aqua Velva
Fragrance: CK One
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 945

Did you feel the strange change in the gravitational pull ? Yep, me too. To be safe I grabbed my Techmatic Razor that generally just sits. Hey if it was safe enough for the Astronauts like Mike Collins of Apollo 11, it's safe enough for me. Safe enough and a decent shave but feels bulky and cheap. Still a cool piece of history to use once in a Blue Moon...........see what I did there. For those that don't know it's a band razor meaning it has a blade in a spooled band that when it gets dull, you just turn the knob to advance the blade to a fresh and sharper spot on the band. This model also has the adjustment knob for aggression which I just stick in the middle (Sorry Fuzzy) and roll with it. It isn't an aggressive razor by any stretch of the imagination. Just happens to be where I put it when I got it to see how long it lasts with not needing to advance it. How many shaves so far you ask ? I have no idea as I lost track of the few times I've used it and whether it's 3 or 4. Okay, back to the shelf/drawer or mug it will sit in till next eclipse...........................................time I pull it out. Have a stupid fun day Everyone !

I have the Schick version of that one. I bring it out now and then. As you said bulky and all but a fun shave none the less.
Happy shaves to ya!

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.
