What can we do better?

Yeah I'm on a LG android cell phone. I realize the site will be different on mobile devices. I guess I should check things out on our computer and see how much different they are. I have very slow satellite internet for the computer and my cell internet is pretty good so I do almost everything on my cell. That and I always havr my cell with me. My computer doesn't fit in my pocket.

As i said before, a responsive theme might be useful. Provided that one can apply a responsive theme to the site without breaking its extensions. Only one way to find out, and I'd be happy to be a Guinea pig. All in the name of science.

Well I don't have the authority to give you the go-ahead so we will have to wait for someone who does.

There is a new responsive theme installed. It is a very basic setup currently and I am aware it will need tweaking to make it what we want to work for us. Try it out and let me know what you think or if I should look for something else.

This theme will need some tweaking, I'm afraid. 

PSA: To activate the new theme if you are on the default theme, go to https://www.tost3.com/usercp.php?action=options and select the board style NetPen from "Other Options" (bottom right).

The theme is generally quite nice. Having never worked with MyBB (but a few other forum software packages), I presume that you can edit the header and footer of the theme. If so, removing all the references to NetPen and inserting logos and links to TOST3 would be useful.

   

More importantly, however, when I try to reply to a message, there is no edit form. Everything else (toolbar, subject, etc.) is there, but not the form into which to type your reply. Wild guess: Did you install an add-on for the editor, CKEditor for example? Does it make any changes to the edit form that the theme does not pick up?

   

That's a Google Pixel running the very latest Android, if if matters.

There is  a form, but it's much too small (and I could not use the drag handle in the lower right hand corner on the mobile). AFAICS, there is no clean solution to this, and if the workarounds do not work, that would be a deal breaker for this theme. Unless someone can whack together the Javascript required to re-size the form.

Another problem: The alerts extension (MyAlerts?) is not themed properly, leading to a complete loss of all alerts. I am afraid that extensions will be a major problem when applying a theme.

Oh, and I cannot upload a file on my laptop. Apparently, the theme somehow interferes with the Attachments function.

   

Ah. The Emerald theme seems to work. How nice! *clicketyclick* How odd. I can add attachments, but I cannot remove them with the Emerald theme enabled.

mayer57619 Can you remove the custom logo for now, please? I am looking at the site on my mobile, and I cannot see a menu. I have a sneaking suspicion that it is covered by the logo, see this screenshot on the demo site for the Emerald theme. The Emerald theme rocks!!
