Well Jim, the Old part is self explanatory. I was born in 1966 so I'll let you do the math. As for the Sarge part, in 2010 I retired after 20 years from the US Army as a Sergeant First Class. Though not professionally correct by the sticklers, Sarge is an informal, old school term of endearment/respect for those with the enlisted rank of Sergeant through Master Sergeant. For a number of years I previously worked for a civilian lady while both on active duty and as a contractor after retiring. She still calls me Sarge to this day and I love it!

Thank you for your service, Sarge. I served 67-70 in the Army as an OR Tech, SP5. I spent a year in the Nam, 68-69. My middle son is a Lt Commander in the Navy.
