I just had an idea:
You could put some tape on the back of a despined GEM blade to add 1.65mm or thereabouts to the depth of the blade.
I must give that a go.

I did give this a go and it's a non-starter.
Once you put enough tape onto the back of the despined blade to add 1.65mm, the back of the blade is too thick to fir the razor.
Pity.
I'm not sure a 3D printed solution would work either.
