"Deli" roast beef made at home.
#3
Yeah, it's pretty good stuff esp' considering the price. That's at retail price. How do the deli makers justify their prices at the scale they produce their products at and the cost they pay at the wholesale level? I don't have answers, just the question. But if I can do it what's their excuse?

That store advertised top or bottom round for the same price last week and I wanted to put another one in the freezer. They were dinky little things with almost more trimmings than meat. I passed on them. This week they have whole eye rounds for the same price and they'd make good roast beef. I've used that cut in the past. But I don't know if I want to drop ~$50 on one piece of beef. (I'd cut it into 3-4 pieces).
