I've cut the blade and re-attached the spine in the past. It works.
Pretty good for a Rookie!!If you ever have a chance could you post a pic with spine removed on your modded blade? And, it still seems to have greater depth than the the original Beasely blade. Does it still fit well at that depth?

This hack you trim both bottom sides and then jam it down as far as you can into the bottom of the blade holder stops.
If this is a Fail tomorrow morning, I might try cutting one. Or I have a Personna Injector blade that I put into a GEM spine ready to go too. One way or the other the razor is being used again and that's what's cool.
How did this go for you? I may have tried some years ago, but I don’t believe I have yet used a modern blade in a Wilkinson razor of this type. I definitely am interested to hear how you are making out. I am ready to saddle up myself. Thanks
Beasely is watching to see if we pull it off.
All three of my Empire Razors have been doing Great with their blade modifications. One is running a Sharp Injector blade, another is running a modified Feather AC blade and the third is running a GEM PTFE blade. I like the GEM one the best but they are all shaving well.
