Fuzzy was spot-on for what we got in our part of the "path":  some rain and a bit of wind.  It helps that we're a decent distance from the coast, and Laura came in west of us.  If we get one that strong (cat 4 or 5) that comes in where the Mississippi river goes out, I'm told things can get VERY nasty.   Locals were telling me that was what happened with Hurricane Betsy (1965) -- so much damage from tree fall that people were without power and stranded for weeks (this is out in my current county, where there's a lot of opportunity for damage by trees).
