Oh...the burn, the burn...make it stop!
The Stirling Glacial Soaps are powered by jet fuel! And, I believe Jayaruh can correct me if I'm wrong...Osage Rub is jet fuel!!! The MMOC is a beast that I've got to show a lot of respect to. But, what a close shaver!
All bases covered Menthol, Micromatic Monday and OCtober. Cheers to you. The MMOC can be a fantastic razor. It can also be a beast. I had a great shave with mine yesterday by paying very close attention to very light pressure and cap flat to nearly flat to my skin. I had to pay double attention on the against the grain pass.
I did complete three passes with a few weepers. I agree with the flat to skin methodology; however, curvy areas (my chinny chin chin) are more of a challenge. I have some really poor skin (bumpy) in the crease above my chin and below my lower lip area. It can be like walking through a minefield shaving this area.
The one shortfall of a heavily mentholated soap is that it can mask some of the irritation earned from poor technique. Don't ask me how I know this!
