I saw yours which made me use this this morning. I thought yours looked more gold but wasn't sure if it was just the picture. This was filthy when I got it a couple of weeks ago but cleaned up very easily with soap, water and light toothbrushing. Great old razors
It's just a total lack of plating or so it appears to me. I think there is a little left on the bottom 9f the head.
Well that is a shame if that's the case though you should still get a good shave from it

I guess that's what mine is supposed to look like. Nice razor!
The A1 and A2 are my favorite of the AutoStrops. Beautiful razor, Grassy.
Thanks Jim, I hope to find an A1 one day since it is the Daddy of them all

Before I started doing videos I shaved with a razor that had a handle like a featherweight and a wire head. I have never been able to remember the name though. It was a veddy fun shave. Bravo on the Dime shave!!
Happy shaves to ya!

Lather Catcher Sunday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Old Spice Original Shaving Cream
Jayaruh #425
C.V. Heljestrand
Heljestrand Wedge
CWR
Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC
The Old Spice Original Shaving Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #425 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher Razor with a Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

I had a great shave today on 6 days of growth from camping. The Schick adjustable dialed all the way up handled it quite well. And the Cellar Organic always performs well.
I've got some catching up to do after 8 days way up north with very little internet access.
