I had an excellent shave with one of my favorite razors ever. The Gem Jr. Bar is an excellent smooth but efficient razor. This was my first use of this handle I recently made. I like longer handles bit I may have went a little overboard on this one. I'm planning on making myself another slightly smaller handle in a different color combo.

The Stirling soaps Almost Heaven is a wonderful scent and has good slickness. The jury is out on boar brushes. I want to like them but have not been impressed so far. The Thayers aloe formula with cucumber is so much better than the cheep witch hazel I had previously. I look forward to trying the rose when I'm ready to buy more shaving accoutrements.

I think just the Sunday here. TCOC is the regular lather catcher place.

Great looking shave. I can never see a big difference in witch hazel. The cheap stuff works great. I will say Boar is a favorite of mine.

Every Sunday is lather catcher day for me. Today's shave is with one of my favorite lather catchers. I want to thank twhite again for introducing me to the J.A. Henckels Rapide razor. He sharpened my blade for me, and I stropped it before and after the shave. 

The Palmolive Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Ever-Ready C-40 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher with a J.A. Henckels Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Lilac Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This one has aloe vera and cucumber so it's a bit hydrating. But the biggest difference is this smells a whole lot better. The cheep stuff I had smelled musty. Cucumber is a much better scent than wet basement.

A great Sunday afternoon shave with a favorite Gem Jr. Bar. This was my first lather catcher thanks to Dave. I paired it with a special boar brush and vintage Colgate. Then I topped it off with a good splash od Pacific Rush AS. Life is good.
