Razor: Valet Autostrop
Blade: Gem (?)
Brush: Rubberset 400/Cashmere
Soap: Hub City Friday Night Lights
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Avon Deep Woods
Fragrance: Azzaro Visit

New to me soap scent and maker had been sitting awhile and wanted to try it. I picked up 2 scents, the other one I had a sample of and used so I picked this to use first. Here's what it says on the site about it:
This namesake is often referred to as the glowing lights that emanate across darkened skies on Friday nights during high school football season. However, this scent doesn't involve the gridiron. We're talking the lights after the lights. The countless bonfires where friends gather to celebrate victory and swap stories of fame, glory, and friendship. I give you Friday Night Lights! This scent includes notes of charred woods (cedar, birch, pine), sandalwood, heliotrope, amber, patchouli, leather, musk, and a touch of sweetness of vanilla, coconut, and marshmallow.

I loaded WAY too much as it loads easy. So after taking the pasty stuff to my face and adding water while working up the lather on my face I was given a shimmering finish to the lather and went to work with the razor (AMAZING shave with it) I did feel it was giving me everything I want in a lather except slickness. I felt some drag with the razor and was thinking the blade may be nearing it's end. 2nd pass after rinsing had a little more slickness due to the additional water added. By 3rd pass lathering I decided although it was a shiny lather, could it possibly take some more water? YES it did and I have to say that I had a glassy shine that I've never seen before with a soap and I've used between 200 and 300 different soaps. The slickness was very improved. Not the best I've ever had but where I like it and finished the shave really chasing a smoothness on the face to match. Just and incredible shave. The scent is strong enough to enjoy and while I am not able to discern the different notes individually, I will say as I read down the list, I can sense each one would be in the well blended scent that is a winner for me. I could use a touch more smokiness but it is enough to appreciate. Decided to add some gas to the fire with the Avon Pump of Deep Woods and topped off with some Visit from Azzaro which is a cheap fragrance that punches way above it's price point. May need to spray a bit more on but it's cheap enough that you can. Have a stellar day everyone !!

Shower
Pre: Cold water Face wash with Whickams pre shave soap
Brush: Simpson Duke 3
Soap: OSP Spice Road
Razor: Blackland Sabre  L1
Blade: GEM Stainless PTFE (1)
Post shave: Cold water splash, TC's Infused Witch Hazel
Balm: Barts Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: OSP Spice Road
[Image: Wk-10-6.jpg]
You cannot beat a bit OSP Spice Road, wonderful stuff, the normal brilliant OSP lather, mixed in the Bideford pottery bowl with the Duke 3 Best, plenty of spicey scented lather for the shave.
The Sabre L1 is a very forgiving razor which really tames the GEM blades from the off, i really enjoy the face feel during the shave, it never gives any indication it is going to bite, although i find it a very efficient razor, YMMV.
3 easy, uber comfortable passes WTG, XTG & ATG for a BBS result.
A nice post shave routine finishing with the OSP matching splash.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

A Week of Adjustables
Thursday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream
SlimGem Silvertip Badger
Bunny V3
Personna Injector
CWR
Aqua Velva Musk AS

The PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream lathered well with the SlimGem Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector with a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

ATT G1 razor
GEM stainless steel blade
Burma Shave Boar brush
Soap Mashup in the HIS shaving bowl
Old Spice aftershave

I decided to use the V1 plate on the right and the V2 plate on the left side of my face this morning.  The V1 plate produced a nice comfortable shave with very little blade feel.  The V2 plate has more blade feel, but not overly much, and ended up giving a slightly closer shave.  All in all I find it is a great razor regardless of the plate.

And it sure is a good looking razor with that scalloped head.

Razor: Star Lather Catcher
Blade: Gem (?)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts/Brown Synthetic
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CHH Tobacco
Fragrance: Avon Premiere Luxe Oud

It's name drop day !! So it's a Wool FAT Friday and a chance to finally use my New (Stubble Daddy), Trotter Handcraft brush handle with it's new Maggards Brown Synthetic knot. I liked the look better than the Synbad. Worked perfectly with "The Fat" and got a nice slick lather going for the Star Razor to do it's thing. This thing shaves great but I never cared for the little and thin handle. A member GAW9576 makes a little adapter screw so I can now use any handle I want and the RR Super Knurled does feel good wielding this tool now. The blade stops are getting pretty worn on this old girl so I may try to tweak them up if I can or will need to try to find another. This one was a generous gift from Steve (Graydog) Topped off with another gift from the Infamous Ken (Fluffy) and I wish I could get to Germany and get a case of these to share and have backups. He says it's a cheap drugstore aftershave there but it is a nice light scent and feels great on the skin. Great stuff you can't get in the states or off the Bay..........Next from Russia that finally arrived after 2 months is the Fragrance from Avon

That's right Avon is still around and I believe a bigger thing in Europe now than the US. This is a win for me and we'll see how good the legs of longevity are with it. Thanks for enabling me Joseph (Primotenore) Not an expensive one at all especially if you hunt where to get it. I've seen it for $20ish shipped and as high as $50. You know this old horse trader found it for the cheaper from Russia verses other Countries. Well work was on tap for today but the Out-Laws need a hallway light installed with a switch so I need to crawl in their attic and run some wiring and cut some holes in sheetrock for devices. I could do it over the weekend..............................Nah. Or ask the Boss for the day off and get it done today. He's a jerk but in the end he (Actually that's ME) gave in so the weekend can be used to accomplish other things. Have a Stupid Fun Day folks !! (The emergency rooms are open for you)
