It's such a lightweight, mild razor, that I tend to unknowingly use more pressure than needed. Williams is slick but not very protective. I also went XTG (sort of ATG) on my lower neck which is almost always a NO for me. Combined with those factors and using the Contour with a new GEM PTFE blade, it resulted in some lower neck irritation, but the shave result was DFS+ overall.

Williams Wednesday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Soap
Jayaruh #2 Two-band badger
Bunny V3 Injector
Schick Proline
CWR
Cella ASB
The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Although I don't list it in my SOTD posts, I actually use witch hazel every shave after rinsing off - Dickinson's or Equate (although since the pandemic set in, Walmart has been out of stock of their Equate witch hazel).

When you use an injector blade in a Micromatic do you have to modify it at all? I was going to try one but it seemed like the center oval shaped bump in the middle of the blade bed would interfere with the blade.

Hi GAW9576, I use personna blades and just put the injector up against the stops then carefully close the cap. Make sure you check alignment, then tighten the top down. Check again to make sure all is ok then off you go.
I can use them in an open comb and the clog-pruf.
Hope this helps,
T

Awesome. Thank you. I will try an injector blade in a Micromatic very soon.
