Today I used the Dehaven razor for the second time since acquiring it. I chose an injector blade instead of a half DE blade. The razor was still very efficient. However with the Injector blade loaded the shave felt smoother and more forgiving. Either way the Dehaven is a great open comb razor and an interesting part razor history, I'm glad I acquired it.

All of the early critters of that breed shave like warm butter! The best of the best IMO.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

A very enjoyable 3 pass shave, the blade being very smooth throughout. This is my earliest adjustable razor and works a treat.
Before the shave i had taped the blade to a thin dowel to paddle strop it, i think this would also work for honing when i need to get around to it, it seemed much easier than "hand rolling" the blade.
Anyway, big smiles all round and a wonderful comfortable DFS++ finish
