New life for old brushes.
#31
I got this Made-Rite 12 on eBay. I have been wanting a green a brush for a while, and this fit the bill. It also gave me something I can practice a restore on.

Moving  to the outside to remove the knot and start the restore.

I cut the bristles off in preparation for removal of the knot.

Here I have removed the knot with my Dremel.

Using a buffer pad on my Dremel, I cleaned up the outside of the handle.

I had to make the opening a little bigger to accommodate this boar knot. Here it is finished.

I removed the old knot, cleaned it, and got it ready for a knot.

Here is the finished brush. I will be using it next week.

Nice! I find that handle shape to be really nice to use.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.
